Allahabad University Recruitment 2012 for Non Plan Teaching Posts
A premiere central university at Allahabad is named as Allahabad University or University of Allahabad. It was established on 23rd September 1887 with first Chancellor named Sir Alfred Comyns Lyall. It is recognised as a forth modern and oldest university of India. This university consist of 35 academic departments for degrees and research activities and also 15 colleges are affiliated with it. At present, University of Allahabad is affiliated to UGC.
Allahabad University invites applications from qualified Indian Nationals for various non plan teaching positions in different departments of the university. The indicative number of vacant posts are given below. Candidates can apply before 12th March 2012 by sending an application form in a prescribed format along with other required documents to the address of Registrar, University of Allahabad, Allahabad-211002. The below given posts are for a probation period of 1 year.
50 vacancies are for the post of Professor, 88 are for Associate Professors and 11 vacancies are for Assistant Professors. All these vacancies are for the department of Faculties of Arts, Commerce, Law, Science and other centres of the University of Allahabad.
Pay scale: Candidates selected as Professor or Associate Professor will get salary under the pay scale of Rs.37400-67000/- and Assistant Professors will get salary under the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100/-.
Eligibility: Ph.D qualification in the relevant subject with minimum 10 years of experience is necessary for the post of Professors. Candidates with Ph.D qualification and 55% marks at masters degree in the relevant subject along with at least 8 years of teaching/ research experience is required for the post of Associate Professors. Candidates applying for the post of Assistant Professors should posses masters degree with minimum 55% marks and must have cleared NET conducted by UGC.
