Government of Andhra Pradesh has formed the electricity generation company for the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is known as Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited or APGENCO. It was established on 28th December 1998. At present, it is the largest power generation company of India and is also recognised as one of the best power generating companies of World. 11000 employees are working under APGENCO. Head office of APGENCO is situated at Hyderabad. It is well equipped with all the modern techniques and equipments.
A recruitment notification has been released by APGENCO for the recruitment of Assistant Engineer Trainees. Citizens of India with the required qualification can apply between 20th December 2011 to 3rd January 2012. Mode of applying is online only. Applications send through any other means will not be accepted.
Total 411 vacancies are available for the post of Assistant Engineer Trainees for engineering graduates in the discipline of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Electronics under the pay scale of Rs.23115-35720/-.
Eligibility: Candidates applying for the above post should be less than 34 years of age and should posses degree of BE/ B.Tech/ A.M.I.E. in the relevant discipline and should have good knowledge of computer applications.
Selection will be based on written examination which is going to be held on 22nd January 2012 at Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Written exam will be divided in 2 section and these are Section A and Section B. Section A will contain questions on core academic curriculum of the relevant discipline and Section B will contain questions on analytical aptitude. Selected candidates will have to go for a training for a period of 1 year.
