A state owned telecommunication company of India is Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited. It is popularly known as BSNL. It is India’s largest and the oldest communication service provider. It was founded in 19th century but was incorporated in the year 2000. Its head office is at New Delhi. Around 290000 employees are working under BSNL. It offers various services like fixed line and mobile telephony, internet services, digital television and IPTV. It has the largest 3G network in India.
BSNL requires experienced and dedicated staffs. For this, BSNL invites application from Indian Nationals for the post of Junior Telecom Officers. Recruitment will be made through an open competitive examination. Vacancies are for the states of Maharashtra, Bihar, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. The following vacancies are under special recruitment drive. Interested and eligible candidates can apply latest by 12th December 2011.
Total 68 vacancies are available for the post of Junior Telecom Officers [ JTO ] in BSNL under special recruitment drive. Out of this, 31 posts are for Maharashtra branch, 6 are for Madhya Pradesh, 25 are for Gujarat and rest 6 are for Bihar state.
Pay scale : This position is under the pay scale of Rs. 16400-40500/- with annual increment @ 3%of basic pay along with other benefits.
Age and qualification: candidates should posses degree of bachelors in engineering/ technology or any other engineering degree in the discipline of telecommunication/ electronics/ radio/ computer/ electrical/ information technology/ instrumentation. Also candidates age should not be more than 30 years.
Open competitive examination will be on 19th February 2012. Test will be of 3 hours duration and questions will be of objective type based on engineering stream and general ability.
