DIAT Recruitment 2012 for Faculty Posts
Defence Institute of Advanced Technology or DIAT was setup in 1952 by the Government of India under the Ministry of Defence funded by the Department of Defence Research & Development. It was formerly known as The Institute of Armament Studies. It is a deemed university located at Pune. It is also a centre of excellence in the field of education, research and training in advanced technologies. It is an ISO 9001:2000 certified institute and which is accredited by the UGC and AICTE.
Online applications are invited by DIAT for various teaching positions. The details of vacancies and qualifications attached to the posts can be had from its official website. The last date for the receipt of application is 8th March 2012. After applying online, candidates has to send demand draft and other required documents along with hard copy of the online application form before 16th March 2012.
Posts of Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors are vacant in the department of Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry and Materials Engineering.
Pay scale: Post of Professors and Associate Professors are under the pay scale of Rs.37400-67000/- with Academic Grade Pay of Rs.10000/- and 9000/- respectively, while post of Assistant professor is under the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100/- along with relevant AGP.
Age limit: Candidates with maximum 50 years of age are eligible for the post of Professor, maximum 45 years of age is required for Associate Professors and candidates applying for Assistant Professor should not be more than 40 years of age.
