Kerala High Court Recruitment 2012 for Munsiff Magistrate


The highest court of Kerala state and the Union Territory of Lakshadweep is Kerala High Court. It was setup in 1956 by the Constitution of India. Its bench is located at Ernakulam of Kerala state. High Court of Kerala consist of 23 permanent judges including 12 additional judges and 1 chief justice. Its composition method is Presidential with confirmation of Chief Justice of India and Governor of Kerala. Its decision can be appealed to supreme court of India.

Government of Kerala invites applications from Indian Nationals for the post of Munsif-Magistrate in the Kerala Judicial Services. Interested candidates who find themselves eligible can apply before 3rd March 2012 with the method of direct recruitment or by transfer. Candidates can apply by sending an application form in a prescribed format before the closing date to the address of The Registrar General, High Court of Kerala, Kochi-682031.

Total 60 posts are vacant for Munsif-Magistrate in High Court of Kerala with pay scale of Rs.27700-44770/-.
Eligibility: For this post, candidates should not be more than 35 years of age and should be graduate in Law.

Selection will be through competitive examination with the name as Kerala Judicial Service Examination which consist of 2 parts namely Preliminary exam and Main exam. Both these exams will be in the form of written examination and then viva voce. Preliminary examination will be on 13th May 2012. Selected candidates has to go for a training for a period of 1-2 years.
