Officers Training Academy Recruitment 2012 at Gaya

The very first training academy established by the Indian Army is Officers Training Academy OTA. It is located at Chennai and was setup in 1963. Indian Army’s second academy was inaugurated recently in Gaya with first batch of 130 cadets. It is a premiere training institution which provide training to the officers for the Short Service Commission.

Applications are invited by Officers Training Academy, Gaya for filling up of various posts. Only Indian nationals can apply and that too before 10th March 2012 by sending an application form in a prescribed format to the address of Commandant Officers Training Academy, Gaya, Bihar-923005. Selection will be through written examination which will he held at Officers Training Academy, Gaya. Rest of the details are given below.

1 post is for Washer man, 1 is for Barber, 1 is for Messenger, 1 vacancy is for Mason, 28 posts are vacant for Gardner, 21 are for Groom, 1 is for Farrier, 83 posts are for Cadet Orderly, 23 are for Masalchi, 54 are for Mess Waiter, 29 are for Safaiwala, 66 are for Groundsman, 47 are for Fatigueman, 13 are for Chowkidar, 1 is for Sand Model Maker, 3 are for Fireman, 27 posts are for Lower Division Clerks, 3 are for Computer Assistant, 2 are for Draughtsman, 5 are for Electrician, 1 is for Tin/ Copper Smith, 1 is for Photostat Operator, 1 is for Cycle Repairer, 9 are for Stenographer Grade II and 76 posts are for Civilians Motor Drivers.

Qualification: Matriculation is the minimum qualification required for all the above positions.
Age limit: Candidates should not be less than 18 years and even should not be more than 27 years of age.
Pay scale: All the above posts are under the pay scale of Rs.5200-20200/- with relevant grade pay.
