An agency implementing the AADHAAR scheme of a unique identification project is Unique Identification Authority of India. It is commonly known as UIDAI. Its head quarter is at New Delhi. It was formed in 2009 by the Union Government as a part of Planning Commission of India. Its technology centre is at Bangalore. Other than this, it has 8 regional offices located at Chandigarh, Ranchi, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Delhi and Lucknow. AADHAAR is a 12 digit number which will be given by UIDAI to all the residents of India, and which will become the single source of identity verification. It own and operate the UID database.
UIDAI needs experienced and dedicated officers for the smooth functioning of the authority and country. For this, it has released an advertisement in its official website for the recruitment of Assistant Director General at Director level in various offices by deputation through bilateral route. Interested Indian Nationals with the required qualification can apply before 29th February 2012.
Post of Assistant Director General at Director level is for the offices situated at Chandigarh, Mumbai, Ranchi, Bangalore and New Delhi under the pay scale of Rs.37400-67000/- with grade pay of Rs.8700/-.
Eligibility: Candidates should be an officer of central government/ state government/ UTs/ PSUs holding analogous posts to that of Director in the central government ministries. Other than this, candidates should have experience of dealing with state government departments/ agencies, development programmes/ schemes.
