WCL Recruitment 2012 for Mining Sirdar
The largest coal producing company of India is Western Coalfields Limited. It is popularly known as WCL. It is a subsidiary of Coal India Limited. WCL was formed on 1st November 1975 by the Government of India under the Ministry of Coal. Its mining plants are located at various districts of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Its registered office is located at Nagpur.
Applications are invited by WCL for the post of Mining Sirdar. Only Indian Nationals with the required qualification and experience can apply and that too latest by 10th May 2012. Interested candidates can apply by sending an application form in a prescribed format along with other documents to the address of The General Manager ( P&IR ), Western Coalfields limited, Coal Estate, Civil Lines, Nagpur-440001. Selection will be based on written test and at last interview. Details of the vacancy are given below.
Total 181 vacancies are available for the post of Mining Sirdar/ Shot firer, T&S Grade C . Out of these, 78 posts are for OBC candidates, 26 are for SC, 16 are for ST and 60 posts are for general category.
Eligibility: Candidates with minimum 18 years and even maximum 30 years of age can apply. Candidates should posses diploma in Mining and Mine Surveying and Overman Competency Certificate issued by DGMS or Mining Sirdar Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS. A valid Gas Testing Certificate issued by DGMS and valid First Aid Certificate is also essential.
Selection will be based on written examination and interview. Selected candidates will get basic pay of Rs.19035.02/- per month.
